Pedagogical Philosophy
I strive to help students deeply engage in the music making process while working to build a technique that supports it. In addition, I help students engage with the historical and mechanical aspects of the instrument, which helps inform our musical choices. Through this guidance, we work to make meaningful musical decisions, respect the composers own intentions and ideas, connect with the wider community, and develop their own personality.
